Player Responsibility in Sport

Professional Sportspeople have different responsibilities both on and off the field. Different sports require different players to do different jobs during a game. Some sports play as a team, others are done by a few players, or even one, however, each sport player has a responsibility on the field.

Player Responsibility Example

Your First Job Is To:

In relation to the sport you have chosen, make a list of one player's responsibility (if your sport is a team sport) on the field. Use your knowledge of the sport's rules to achieve this. A player's responsibility can sometimes be refered to as a goal or aim of the sport or player. You may set the list out in anyway that you want and you can decorate it once you have finished. Use the same research stations as the previous activity.

Your Second Job Is To:

Look at player/team responsibility outside of the sport. As sportspeople are well known by many people, their responsibility does not just belong on the court or field. Research ways in which your different teams, players or sports have a responsibility to the communities that they are associated with and the people that watch them play. You may use the same research stations as the last activity or think of some of your own ideas.
